This car debuted at the Tokyo Auto Salon in 2002. 

I think it would have looked better minus the wing but that`s just me. If you saw the rear window, yes that is paint and not a sticker.

Parked in the pits was the Kunnyz Chaser looking like a tamed version of the D1 jzx100

The driver had a little off track expedition, you can use your rims as flower pots as well.

No tow hook? No problem.

This is Mori-san from Garage Mori, he is 54 years old and according to my friend Brian still street drifts like a complete maniac. Oh and to top it off he says that Mori-san is a complete `hentai oyaji` (perverted old man) he says he was trying to pick up chicks all night when he was not sliding. Awesome.

Tsuiso action is always great at small tracks like Mobara, the speed isn`t that high but they make up for it in very close quarters action

Alot has been made of Orido`s new FT86 with the IS-F engine but in my opinion the Aristo is still cooler. You can see the difference in power that this car puts out, the dark tire marks are from his car and all the others are from all the other MSC cars.

top down chrome spinnin... looks pretty good with the Hot Road front and Garage BB sides. I think if he lowered the back another 3  inches it would look bananas. Running a CA18 the transmission has been swapped to a manual because Nissan only made verts in automatics

MSC Round 1 at Mobara Part 5: Mai`s Roadster

Women driving Roadsters (miatas) is a pretty stereotypical image and in this case it is true except this Roadster is driven flarking hard and looks bad ass too. It runs a Racing Sports Active aero and deep dish Panasports. Unfortunately the rear over fender was cracked in a previous incident and removed

I couldn`t find out what she was running under the hood but i`m pretty sure it was still NA

Only in Japan will you find a girl that drifts her Roadster practically every week and uses her drift spare Panasport C8s as a place to put her LV purse

Here she is throwing down her last run in amateur class, she got third by the way.

Post video of you and your Ferrari on internet, get arrested

I was going to post this last week but forgot. If you haven`t heard about this f@ck up, a doctor posted a video of himself doing some spirited driving, only thing it was a little too spirited. Some Japanese saw the video, complained and the guy was arrested on speeding charges.

They identified the man because of the car obviously, also he shows where he lives, you can see a side profile of his face as well. he was quoted as saying `he wanted people to understand the beauty of Ferrari`

fast forward to 2:00 where he plays catch up to a 911 and 4:12 for the twisties

JCCA 2010 Part 2

It is hard to capture what the JCCA New Year`s Meet is in pictures, even if you took video it is impossible to understand what an amazing event it is. The constant sound of carburetors, the smell of unburnt gasoline wafting through the air, it is truly Kyusha heaven. It is such a laid back atmosphere, you come across amazing vehicles like this Yon Meri on Equips, the owner brought his family out to the event and the kids were just chilling in the back.

Perhaps my favorite time is right when the show is ending and everyone is headed home. There is more room to shoot and everything is bathed in this amazing orange glow from the setting sun over Tokyo. It is times like this when cars like this gold 2000GT show the true depth of their color. I just stopped and took a few moments to admine this car in all its glory.

During this time cars are constantly moving around the lot and having small gatherings with their comrades. This B110 Sunny was heading out to parts unknown after chatting with his friends for a bit. Check out the size of that rear tire!

This 510 attends every year, the owner decided to use some modern TE37s instead of vintage rims, it also has a full bolt in cage. I wouldn`t mind seeing this thing on the track

MSC Round 1 at Mobara Part 2: Run Free 86

This was one of my favorites of the day the Run Free / Dragon AE86, one of the only NA powered cars of the event it put up a valiant fight. Also i must apologize for the quality of some of these pics, i was trying out a new lens and the pictures just really aren`t that great... lesson be learned always get lots of practice time before going out and shooting an event.

Run Free has been around from the earliest days of drifting if you by chance find any VHS tapes of old touge action their name might be in it... eventually about 10 years ago this month they created their own shop and brand that caters to AE86 fans.

This Levin above is driven by Sugehara-san and is  pretty badass, constantly placing  in the top 5. The car has a full Run Free aero and deep 15inch Equip 03s. I wish i could tell you more about it besides the obvious but i never got to see it with the hood open. From the sound of it, it was running some ITBs and was probably one of the loudest cars of the day.

He was up against one of the Illusion JZX90s. A true David vs Goliath match up.

Unfortunately, at the entry to the hairpin he came in much too shallow and ended up running the gutter... looked pretty cool though...ae86s and gutters where have i heard that one before?

Even though he didn`t make it past this round Sugehara is an awesome driver competing in a sea of turbos and 1Js he is still one of the best.
