Hellaflush Kansai 2012: Part 6

Check out this blue JZX81 Chaser owned by Roger who might have been the only foreigner entered in the show. According to my friend Brian he is extremely knowledgeable about the JZX81 and according to another of my friends is a gangster drifter he even got featured in Drift Tengoku because of his knowledge of hachi-ichis. He had some bad luck headed down to Kansai blowing a tire but he got the car to the show. I talked to him for a minute, really nice guy.

If Chasers aren't your thing how about a flared 81 Mark II on BBS

Here is one to test your kyusha library... lets see who gets it right

  1. A55 Daihatsu Charmant (badge-engineered E7 Corolla), 20v 4A-GE swap, four single-choke, flat-slide Keihin CR carburettors, tubular high rise exhaust manifold (possibly TRD originally intended for an AE86), modified valve cover (what's that hump in the rear for? Reminds me of the 3S-GE and 2JZ-GE covers) 13" Sakura (Yayoi) wheels, not sure if they're originals or not. What do I win? ;-)

  2. +1 on the Charmant. ;)
The rised valve covers on the 16v Formula Atlantic look similar but had a structural purpose and not functional.
Given the fact that the oil breather pipe on the left has been blocked off I think the owner solved two problems here:
    1. breather pipes on both cam covers
    2. higher breather pipes to solve the oil spill through the normal breather pipe when drifting. (4AGE design "flaw")
