The replica number 73 Ken Mary on display in the Rays booth
A very rare 71 Toyota Publica, this was basically the Japanese version of the Beetle. A simple machine to get from point A to B. In fact the name Publica was taken from the English term `public car`.
Finally is this L28, it looks like any other L28 but it houses a very special head. The head is one of the legendary `Safari Heads`. These were used in the 1970-74 Works Datsun cars that competed in the Monte Carlo and Safari rallies. In 1971 Datsun finished 1-2 in the Safari rally. What makes this head unique is the circular port job. Nostalgic Hero Magazine along with SS Kubo are currently remaking this engine, the head is mated to a L28kai block. It will be set in to a 240ZG which was purchased in the autumn of 2011 and will be the only known running Safari head in Japan. The Safari Head went by a couple other names including `LR`, `FIA Head` and `Option Head`

A Publica popped up on TradeCarView not to long ago for around $900 before shipping. And, by the look of it, I really missed out. They look so awesome.
